"Prose-Cards" began unexpectedly. I started making note cards to give as gifts to my friends and family. My intention wasn't to start a card business, however as word spread, requests for more of my cards began to arrive. I decided to expand my business by making handmade calendars with pressed flowers -- to give as gifts to people who purchased my cards. The feedback from the calendars was very positive and requests for them poured in from family and friends. Thus, I recently began working on my business full-time, in order to focus more attention on my unique cards and calendars.
The inspiration for my business name, "Prose-Cards," is in remembrance of my father.
The small note cards I make are copies of my original paintings and pressed flower cards. My 5" x 7" cards are made with handmade paper and pressed flowers. All my note cards are blank inside for your personalized messages.
My calendars are made with flowers that I press from my garden or from friends. Each calendar is 8 1/2" x 11" and hand-bound with raffia.
